Gyanshala

JVB London Gyanshala runs under the guidance of respected Samanijis, with a team of dedicated volunteer teachers. We have more than 100 kids enrolled in gyanshala starting from age 3 and above until the age of 16. We have classes in three different age groups under the names of Arham group which is for our youngest children (3-7years) which is followed by Gyan group (8-11 years)and our older children go in Charitra group (12 years and above).

A rolling curriculum is followed through a textbook which is a compilation of various jain tattva concepts and their applications in daily life. All the contents of the textbook has been sourced from Jain Agams, various published and online resources authored by Jain Acharyas and Jain scholars and has been adapted to fit the needs of the gyanshala curriculum. Topics that are taught in gyanshala are- Jain Philosophy, history, mantras, shlokas, prayers, rituals, Jain festivals, Yoga and Preksha Meditation.

At JVB London Gyanshala, we aim to provide kids with a coherent understanding of Jain beliefs and values by imparting them with life skills for boosting physical, mental and emotional health, stress release, peaceful life, and spiritual bliss. We strive to inculcate life values in children that help them grow into responsible adults who respect and care for their fellow living beings and the environment, who respect other religious beliefs and have empathy for those who are less fortunate.

Gyanshala provides a platform for all children to voice their opinions, to speak freely and to show case their talents through many cultural events that are organised throughout the year.
